Alium Cepa

The onion (Allium cepa L., from Latin cepa meaning “onion”), also known as the bulb onion or common onion, is a vegetable that is the most widely cultivated species of the genus Allium. It is used for treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, asthma and bronchitis. The fresh bulbs or an extract thereof are also used topically for treatment of insect stings and warts.
