These familiar fruits—vast though they may be in color, flavor and fragrance—have been cultivated since ancient times and enjoyed in cuisines across borders and cultures. Recent research points to the origin of citrus fruits residing in Australia, New Caledonia and New Guinea, though others may have originated in southeastern Asia, Burma and Yunnan of China. While their origins may remain a mystery, one fact holds true: citrus fruits are always a crowd pleaser!
